Flat again.
Went down to cycle again. Practice trackstand, bunnyhop, normal hop n manual downstairs. Was feeling very confident as almost everything went well cept for e manualing. Decided to try bunnyhopping up e curbs. Started with e baby one. No problemo. Went on to e higer one. Tot i cleared it. Then i heard a bang n a psst. Shit!! Rear tire burst again. I put too much pressure in e tire. It blew. When i went home i took out e inner tube, e hole was unpatchable. Haizz..my dad suggested i get those thicker onez..more ex. But can last longer. Haizz..where's my patch kit!!!. No one sells one when i need them. Tomolo me going down Yan there or Bike Haus n see if they have. Hope they do. Luckily got conference with Zr, Shuhui n Vince or i would have been jumping mad at myself. Why nv release some pressure from e tires why so complacent!!.

21 Sept. Bad dae for practising street
After a 3 hr long session of karoke wif VIncent, Zong Ren n Shuhui. (It was freezing there...wat a relief i didnt get hyper therma or something...
Went back home n after dinner i went to practise trials. Practise hopping in place, wheelie manual, trackstand.

Was at e basketball court practicing. It was all well until this guy came n sit down at bench with his bike. He looked liek he was waiting for someone so i minded my own business. Then after 5 min he approached me n ask me how to go to boy's home n so after explain i tink he still didnt understand i lead e way to e place. Mission accompolished. On e way back was traveeling on e str road n tot hmm...why not..lets do a wheelie there..n i shifter too many gears n e e chain gave way. Whoazz...luckily not doing anything dangerous..Went back removed e broken chain now cannot go to e 3rd chainring coz its too short already. Need to buy one soon.

A flat.
After fixing up, i felt like going back there n trying out a manual i almost got it b4 e chain snapped. So i went down this time with my helmet coz can get injured one wat. Went manualing down e stairs at e basketball court. Almost did it but i pushed my weight forward when i manualed down e first stairs...after a few tries i decide to take a easier stairs first. I went over to another stairs to do..this time i failed. N in order to get back to e top i i climbed up this upslope n den when down. Below was a open drain i could clear easily. N i did but heard a hissing sound...flat tyre!!!...wahzz...sianzz..should have taken more precaution. haizz..

8.05pm. Pacing ard e house. "Should i or should i not go??. I dont noe anyone there." ASk my dad for an option n he said i should try. Time den 8.16pm..okok little intro. fwnr is a ride wher e all e pple in e west gather to ride together. They usually meet at Adam Rd n their dist travelled is at least like 50km 0r more..

8.15pm. Had 45min to rush to Adam to meet them. Usuallly it takes me 50 to reach chuch so i told e guy i will be late n off i went i cycled really fast. Clocked like 25km/h ave. tts super fast. Anyway i arrived there like ten mins early. Went to buy a 1.5 l mineral water coz i didnt bring any. Shook hands when everyone.

When i arrived there were like 6 plus pple. Wahzz. All had very nice, pretty bikes. But wat caught my eye was e Santa Cruz HECKLER in e midst of all e other bikes. WAhzz..2.5 or 6 inch tires. I tot this guy wont be able to catch up. It was great, they were super frenly.

I did. N was part of it. Was super cool to like see e lights flashing. Like some christmas celebration. Haha. From Farrer we headed down to Holland V den to West Coast Highway to Pasir Panjang to Tuas. 50km.

Objective: Tuas
Travelling down west coast highway was ok but at Tuas wahzz..tts e real killer. There were many super long roads n e pple like to cycle fast i was like left behind. =*( so inferior ah pengs beat me hehe~ but ya they all quite old at least 30 plus. Only like 4 young adults out of like 15. Anyway ya e others joined us at West Coast there.
Tot e ride will end fast. Past industrial factories n all tot i was in Tuas but i was wrong. Wahzzz...dont noe tuas so long onezz. Alot of long roads n upslopes. So where near reaching e end I almost cannot take it liaozz...thighs feeling very weak n hands hurt.
Tuas got so many str. N super long road i tink they can land many planes there. It can be an emergency runaway.

30 years old n married wif a newborn
No i didnt try to pick up an auntie. Remember i mention e SANTA CRUS HECKLER??. Well e owners turns out to be a really frenly person n can chat lot of stuff coz he also into freeriding. But i was shocked when he told me his age along e road. 30 married with a newborn n intro freeriding. He's not ur regular vulgular n hardcore rider. But a cultured n composed one. Anyway his rig also quite amazing Heckler with Manitou Sherman n Sun RIms-Single Track with 2.6 no for ur normal road riding but he did very well catching up n also keeping pace. Dont noe wat's his secret n all e other's secret, cycle so long still not much signs of fatigue.

We stopped there. That was like our second break. Time to interact. I chose Poser.(hecl\kler guy) n this guy callled Jian Sheng. I realised we are all into freeriding but they two not so hardcore, me a bit more but juz no guts to do so n that i haven learnt e tricks of e trade. Hey!! Getting there soon k?? Some more time. N i tried Poser's bike at e first break n tried again on e second. E sus was like 'swosh" so plush even e rear shock...swosh so cool. But heavy lahz but not as heavy Yan's bike..e pics in my last week's entry. Anyway riding his bike was like changing from a horse to a bull. His profile was so much bigger. Handlebar wider by 3.5 inches. e frame so big n fat, E rims so wide. Very diff feel from mine.

Basic Theory
Did my basic theory todae. I took e test with Wee jin n alot other strangers. WeeJin was a bit late n i was 30 mins early. Meet up with a seller at clementi b4 tt. Wanted to study more at mac's but judging drom the time i tot i had not much so i took a train str. to Queenstown. E mrt was super fast dont noe why. Ok back to e story. When wee Jin reached we went up to take e test. The pple were already with their qn booklets n e invigilators were giving their briefings. I past my pen to Weejin n used my pencil intead. Upon seeing this one of the invigilators went up to me n told me tt I could only use a pen for e test. I asked him if i could use his pen den. He said i would have to go out to dont noe where to purchase one. I was quite angry by then. "Fine" i said. I stood up making sure e chair made a loud screeching sound n was abt to leave when someone lent me his extra pen. "Wat nonsense." I uttered under my breathe. Anyway i tink i did not bad for e test but i tink not good enough.
Made some mistakes n forgot wat some of the signs meant.

With e recent chain of accidents, dont noe n feel confident riding on e road anymore. Guess its time to take life more seriously. dont more dashing past red lights or riding too fast on e road..n signal more on e road..

Condolences.
A second-year NTU undergraduate out on a cycling expedition died after being hit by a car.
This happened just a week after police announced the number of fatal road accidents in the first half of the year rose 22 per cent compared to the same period last year.
It was along Jalan Bahar near NTU where the accident happened on a Saturday afternoon.
23-year-old Alvin Ho and two other students were cycling back to the university from East Coast Park when he was hit by a car.
The impact of the collision flung him towards a bus stop and he died on the spot.
At his home on Sunday, Alvin's sister said she was too upset to speak.
Police have released the driver, a 31-year-old man, on a $10,000 bail.
He was believed to have been speeding towards the PIE at the time of accident and has been charged with performing a reckless act.
Reckless driving, police said, are the cause of most road accidents.
The driver in this instance was allegedly drunk when the accident happened.

If so, he has done so much to promote cycling in NTU...he actually wrote to SACA and offered to promote the Mountain Bike Championship in his school when there was no cycling club....even offered to meet up with me one early morning to collect posters from me...and eventually formed a team to support the race....really sorry to hear about this tragic incident.

On behalf of SACA, our condolences to his family, friends and relatives. May he rest in peace. -Merciless

never met Alvin personally, I should say I'm proud that he succeeded in something 3 'generations' of students in NTU failed to do. To get cycling recognised as a legitimate sport in NTU. Though not in a formal way, but at the very least he took the opportunity when he had it and shoved it in the faced of some very stubborn and archaic administrators. -Maxevv

Juz went down to e bank to update my passbook. The teller at e bank said my save as u earn account has been closed. Coz i didnt put in e money for last mth.
WAt the... I didnt even get a letter or wat. They juz gave a reminder letter but if they were to cancel e account at least let me know first. Super pissed...they even took out 20 bucks from my account in order to cancel e account n tranfer e money back to my savings account without my knowledge. I can be forgetful at times but this is too much!!..Wah laozz..anyhow take my money anyhow cancel my account. ITs my account not theirs!! If they need to do something at least ask!! 1. Don't check blindspots before you swerve out to avoid something close to the edge of the road? (Especially those who haven't learn to drive). I noticed SHITLOADS of riders in togoparts that are guilty of this
2. Ride without proper safety equipment.(helmet, shoes and gloves at least)
3. Beat red lights blatently.
4. Don't ride in a single file
5. Have no lights/reflectors on their bikes.
6. Don't use proper hand signals to indicate your intentions.
7. Listening to music at almost full blast, oblivious to the audio warnings of the environment.
8. Answer to calls/sms on your mobile phones while on the road
9. Drafting vehicles, especially buses can be fun but note the risk you're taking.
10. Don't bother slowing down or stopping at totally blind corners.
11. Rarely occurs but happens : Ride on shoulder lane of expressway.
12. Spook pedestrians by zooming pass them. (The elderly, children and pregnant women especially)
13. Make intimidating hand/vocal gestures at drivers.
14. Crowd around the front cars at red lights when you all should be in a single file on the left.
15. Have no idea how to properly negotiate a right arrow turn.(IF you can't handle it, GET OFF THE BIKE AND WALK ACROSS THE PEDESTRIAN GREEN MAN CROSSING)
16. Jumping onto kerbs and back on the road (A moment on the road, a moment on the pavement and back). Its very confusing and risky to yourself as drivers don't know whether you're on or off the road.
17. Speed up at a hump to take jump, when you actually are supposed to slow down.

E first singles was against Reuben(Safsa player) we put a mediaocre player in to play as we were betting on our doubles only Adrian n Joshua won their game doubles. 9-6. It was a ok game considering there were quite good players from e opponent.

I woke up to a rainy cold morning, checked e weather forecast..raining in all parts of Singapore..Whoa!!..no training. Called my capt n ask if e training was cancelled. He said postphone to ten..see how if e rain not stopping he would call off e training. Waited for every long still no reply. Called him a few times n answer. There was actually training his sms didnt reach my hp..so i didnt noe. Called my other fren. Said bernard was already playing too late already by den..hehe~ so i skipped training..yea!!!..Went to Ikea wif my parents for lunch. Eat goose meat. Went da ikea to get some stuff n look at ever so innovative ikea's interior designing n funiture. Never fails to amaze n inspire me. Discussed wat to buy to upgrade e house. He mentioned changing my bed to e double bed..e lower level will have nothing but space for my com n all..change wardrobe..hehe~ not finalised yet but right now he's removing some furniture from e living room. Kinda painful coz its been wif us for very long n its quite ex. but den again furniture have no feelings..why should i feel for it den.??..=)

Hmm..juz came back from cycling. Super fun. Went to NTU to conquer e hills in NTU. E downslopes n difficult upslopes were more fun than i tot of ourse when there's company. Well, had Wee Jin n Pee..as usual Pee being e fastest. Then we stopped by e 7-11 at my place. Then to Pee's place to pass Wee Jin his Blue fox Jersey. Pee n I were wearing e red one(Pee gave me one)
After tt headed to E International Park for a race!!..Very cool place spacious n most of all, empty. Pee went thru e route once n after some rest we were all set.

I was tinking as my front derailuer was having problems catching on to e bigger chainrings i decided to stay on e biggest chainring but i knew i would make me slower at e first part. But better den not catching on e chainrings for a dist ritez?
N we were off, as i tried to change to higher gear but e rear d. screwed up..i ended up adjusting for quite a while which i was trying to avoid. So i was last, but hope came when Wee Jin didnt turn at e round abt..hehe~ holland..so i was only Pee n me n i was chasing him all e way..sweat sweat n guess wat..at e end i forgot to turn in..Saw Pee waving i jammed on my brakes n strangely my rear wheel skid juz enough. to make a turn..whew fun manzz..Hmm..one dae will beat Pee..one dae..

Boarded e 174 bus tis morning n realised a very familiar figure was siting at e seat after e TV mobile near e rear door. At 1st i didnt look in e direction, i was afraid was being spotted but I kinda realised tt she like cannot recognise me anymore. I took the seat at e back but i kpet looking at her to see n confirm its her. It looked like her, but her lips were paler n she was dressed rather decently. E last time i saw her like 2 years ago, she was wearing a tube top. Had an impression from young that she quite "he-ao" one..But tis time like quite different. Through e journey i was looking at her to see if she was really Diana. Dont noe why when there was an empty space behind her i didnt take it n say hi or something. Too bad i fell asleep halfway i couldnt see where she alighted. I wondering where she was going u see..Bukit TImah? or Orchard..so i guess Orchard's out..I spent e entire looking at her. Remembering how differently she looked in e past.
